How did you find yourself in the advertising industry, and what’s been the best part of your journey at VMO so far?
A colleague at the time invited me to apply for a position with VMO, which led to my introduction to the advertising industry. I had no idea how large the industry was, and learning all about it has been the best part of my journey at VMO so far.
What’s one work tip or hack you swear by that makes your day smoother?
Sticky notes. I use them everywhere and for anything. Without them, I’d be very lost.
If you could swap roles with someone in the business, who would it be and why?
I’d really like to swap roles with Andy who is on the production team. I admire her work and think it would be a wonderful experience to learn all about production within the company and the creative side of the business.
What would you do differently, if you were given the chance?
Personally, I wouldn’t change a thing. I believe everything happens for a reason and my choices and decisions have led me to where I am now, which I’m very happy with.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self starting out in your career?
My advice is to always be open to meeting new people and building genuine connections. Through my career, I’ve made lifelong friends, which has also opened doors to many unexpected yet exciting opportunities.
If you could master a new skill instantly, what would it be and how would you use it at work?
I’d love to learn another language. I’m not entirely sure how often I would use this at work; I suppose it would really depend on the language. However, I believe it would allow me to connect with and meet new people.
What is a fun fact about yourself that many may not know?
I’ve been told I’m quite the coffee connoisseur, according to family and friends, which I definitely take pride in!
What is your must-have office snack that helps you get through the workday?
Definitely popcorn. Not only is it a healthier snack choice, but the snack break is also a fantastic way to break up the afternoon.
Finally, spill the tea (or coffee): What’s your go-to coffee order?
I’m an iced drink person, so my go-to coffee order is usually an iced long black or iced latte. I typically have these year-round, or at least until the winter cold catches up to me.
