How did you find yourself in the advertising industry, and what’s been the best part of your journey at VMO so far?
I began my out-of-home media career at Adshel (home of the best promotional pens in the industry), then moved to oOh!media, and later ran a retail media department at Stockland. The best part of my VMO journey? Easily, our conference in Japan. Singing karaoke with the team really captured how wonderful, friendly and warm the culture is at VMO.
What’s one work tip or hack you swear by that makes your day smoother?
I always block out time for deep work. It's easy to become a slave to your inbox, so carving out time for focused work is essential.
If you could swap roles with someone in the business, who would it be?
It would have to be with the projectionist who screens all of the movies at HOYTS. Easily the best seat in the house!
What would you do differently if you were given the chance?
I’d definitely choose to spend less on the latest fashion trends and put more into stocks!
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self starting out in your career?
Act it until you become it. Simple, but incredibly powerful.
If you could master a new skill instantly, what would it be and how would you use it at work?
The ability to pick up any foreign language instantly. A handy skill for building relationships with partners and clients wherever they are.
What is your must-have office snack that helps get you through the workday?
I have a few - coffee, French Earl Grey tea and chips (of any kind) are a must for me.
If you could host a dream dinner party, which three famous people (alive or not) would you invite and why?
Ruth Bader Ginsburg - a pioneer for women and a real life wonder women who fought for injustice in the courts
David Beckham - the movie Bend it Like Beckham was almost autobiographical
Michelle Yeoh - a kung-fu fighting beauty queen, need I say more?
Spill the tea (or coffee): What’s your go-to coffee order?
My go-to is a soy latte and it has be made with Bonsoy soy milk!
