How did you find yourself in the advertising industry, and what’s been the best part of your journey at VMO so far?

I started out by interning in PR for a full-service agency whilst I was at Uni. I then ran into school friend at soccer one day who knew someone vacating a Sales Coordinator role Nine and a phone call and interview later I ended up landing the role. The rest is history!

The best part of my journey with VMO so far has been getting to work on my home turf again after working remotely for a few years and connecting with old work colleagues. It’s truly a great team.

What’s one work tip or hack you swear by that makes your day smoother?

I always start the day by sifting through trade press newsletters such as AdNews, B&T and Mumbrella. It helps keep you in the loop and across the latest industry news.

If you could swap roles with someone in the business, who would it be and why?

I’m actually quite keen on Cinema, with a pretty extensive Letterboxd account that allows me to share my film reviews. So, it would have to be anyone within the Val Morgan Cinema side of the business.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self starting out in your career?

Don’t be afraid to express yourself. It’s what makes you unique and exciting.

If you could master a new skill instantly, what would it be and how would you use it at work?

I’d love to have the ability to quickly learn any language. I’d use it make all ads more CALD friendly.

If you could host a dream dinner party, which three famous people (alive or not) would you invite and why?

  • Gil Scott-Heron – he’d have some profound thoughts and then play some soothing jazz.

  • Tutter from ‘Bear in the Big Blue House’ – to add a bit of drama to the evening.

  • Matty Matheson – the ultimate chef with fascinating life stories.

Finally, spill the tea (or coffee): What’s your go-to coffee order?

My order is an iced latte that is ¾ full all year round.
